Maybe for next season or whenever. The rule states that we each have a 20 man minor league protected list. If a guy gets sent down or called up, he must be adjusted on this. Say a prospect is called up, right now the rules states you have some time (a week or so) to add him to your roster. I am willing to get rid of this rule. Meaning, since he is already protected on your minor league roster, if a guy on that roster gets called up you wouldn't have to add him the whole year if you didn't want to and lose a player on your roster. You just don't get his stats. But he does take up a spot on your minor league protected list. This would ease all the callups and sent downs throughout the year. (Our current rule has it that the previous year's MLB draft picks in the minor league system don't have to be on your protected list. However if they are called up to the majors, you would have to add them to your roster or put them on your protected list.) Thoughts? ?

I like this rule modification. Why should we have to drop someone on our roster with a call up that will not get the same at bats. Sonds good to me.

Well, so far we have a consensus, so that's what we'll do. We'll institute this rule as of now.
If anyone has made any moves or whatever up to this point that went by the old rule, please let me know. Thanks.

If anyone is interested in doing some "prospect swapping" to fulfill some organizational needs, I am offering the following players:
- OF Adam Stern - OF Brandon Moss - RP Kaz Tadano - P David Pauley - SS/2B Alejandro Machado - RP Edgar Martinez - RP Cla Meredith - RP Jamie Vermilyea
I've got plenty of OF and Relief Pitching prospects now, so I'd be interested in trading one or more of these players for some Starting Pitching prospect(s) or a Shortstop prospect or a 1st Baseman prospect.
If you'd rather send me one of your Minor League picks for 1 or more of the players mentioned, I'd entertain those offers as well.

Quick Question Joe Borchard was claimed off waivers by the Florida Marlins org. Under our rules does he belong to my Marlins or does he belong to the Mariners or is he an available free Agent?
Thanks in advance!

I believe that according to our rules, he is just a Free Agent... If the Marlins suddenly traded Dontrelle Willis in real life, you wouldn't lose him. Likewise, you are not forced to accept your franchise's real waiver transactions as your own...

Guys, the minor league rosters will need to be set by Friday July 7th. I have been on vacation for a while and just got back.
You'll need to have your minor league Taxi Squad (roster) set by that date. Then once that is done, we can go from there.
