The rosters have been loaded into yahoo. Please check your teams ASAP and let me know any corrections / errors. If so, they will need to be done very soon. Also, check the notes I've posted and READ them.
Secondly, there will be rookies or young guys available off the waiver wire - MAKE SURE they don't belong to someone's minor league system - you can do that by checking this site and checking the minor league rosters...........which also means, you'll need to check your rosters to make sure no one takes or picks up your guy(s).

Not exactly how it works, Ray... This kind of stuff is handled thru Yahoo now that the teams are loaded.

7. If one of your prospects (either from your Taxi Squad or not on your list) is brought up to the majors, you may or may not make a spot for him on your Major League Roster. You have the choice to keep him on your Taxi Squad or to put him on your major league roster. If he is sent back down, you can take him off of your Major League Roster and put him on your Taxi Squad. If the prospect that was brought up and is kept on your minor league roster, he may stay there for the rest of the current year. But once the season is over and he opens on the major league roster for next season, then he must be on the major league roster - he cannot remain on the Taxi Squad into the next year. If the promoted prospect is placed on the major league roster, the only way to put him back onto the Taxi Squad, is if he is sent down by his major league team - which goes for all players.

We can't be changing the rules "willy nilly" after the season has begun.
On Page 13 of the discussion thread, Haggstown posted this:
"As far as prospect goes..........is the guy on your minor league roster or minor league system at the end of last year? If so, then he can stay there and doesn't have to be brought up even if he makes the opening day roster. If a guy, like Jon Lester, breaks camp and vies for a starting job, but gets sent down to AAA when opening day starts for whatever reason, then he would then be able to be placed on the minor league protected list."
This rule did not apply to Minor Leaguers like Justin Upton, Tim Lincecum, Andrew Miller, and Luke Hochevar, who were all selected in our Major League draft. Several owners agreed BEFORE the season started, that this should be the rule for this year. Now that the season has started, we can't all of a sudden switch course.
That's not fair to any of us, especially HB Whiteys who was asked to drop Russell Martin already.
Do you think I would have picked up John Buck if I could've had Russell Martin? Russell Martin is property of the Blue Jays... and Chris Duncan is property of the Cardinals
Sorry, but this is the way that it should be for the 2007 season. We can revisit the rule after the year and hold another vote.

What you posted about page 13 was something that the Commish, in his words was "throwing out there". He was asking if rule 7 should be changed, and said that majority would rule. Reading further, only 4 of 12 teams voted to change. Thus, the Commish (on page 15) re-confirmed that rule 7 is in effect. The rule wasn't changed, it was only discussed, but did not receive majority support. I agree that we should vote to change it after this season.

Commish Winker refuses to drop henry owens off his roster. Under the rules The Marlins retain the rights to Henry Owens because he is protected under my minor league protected roster. Can you please take him off his roster.

Zem, under the rules, guys that made the opening day rosters of their real teams, had to be put on our 30 man rosters at that time. I don't see where that rule was changed anywhere.

We'll go with the latter............we'll decide when we bring them up.............. From Page 14 of this very thread... Here was Haggstown's previous confirmation that the rule was changed. AND, this ruling was given before the season started. By virtue of this "owners decide when to bring up players" rule, Haggstown dropped Russell Martin from HB Whitey's roster. At the very least, Martin should be property of the White Sox now. Since some of us are online more than others, we need to hear from all 12 owners before we start going crazy raiding players thought by some to be owned by other teams. Seriously Winker, do you really think I would have added Catcher John Buck the other day if I could've instead added Russell Martin? Let the voting process happen before we go crazy adding guys like Chris Duncan, Russell Martin, Henry Owens, etc.

It should be enforced now..........things or players may have gone overlooked.......... This was the most recent posting about rule 7. That's what I went by, and I don't appreciate being attacked for following the rules as written by the Commish. This should be an enjoyable league, but name calling and accusations of thievery should not enter into what is going on here. I WENT BY WHAT THE COMMISHIONER OF THE LEAGUE POSTED, AND WAS SEEMINGLY IN FORCE WHEN I PICKED UP THE PLAYERS IN QUESTION.
