We are going into our second season here.
Congrats to the HaggsTown Mets on the Season 1 champs.
Please review the rules regarding keepers and such. We need to finalize the minor league portion before we continue on with our major league draft soon. If you will not return or will return, please let me know. Thanks.

[glow=red,2,300]The League Rules[/glow]
- Major League Draft is 12 Rounds year to year; Minor League Draft will be 6 rounds -- the major league roster is 30 and you can have a keeper list of 18 players, thus the 12 round draft.
- Players and picks can be traded during the draft
- Following the Major League draft, teams will announce their 30-man Major League roster; This roster will be entered into the league site on Yahoo.
- Prospects may be drafted in the Major League portion of the draft, but any prospects named to the 30-man roster who are not in the Yahoo database will force the owner to carry an empty roster slot in the Yahoo league site.
-Once the teams are selected for the league, any transactions made by the (real) Major League club will not affect the rosters thereafter.
- If you waive a non-database prospect from your 30-man roster, you lose the rights to that player. Haggstown will determine the waiver claim process for that player.
- Prior to the Minor League portion of the draft, teams will name their 20 prospects that are protected.
- A Minor League draft will be held, in which teams will draft prospects from the 18 non-owned teams.
-Each team will then have a 50 man roster; 30 man Major League Roster and a 20 man Minor League Roster (which will be followed and kept on the CSC board).
[glow=red,2,300]The stat categories will be a 6x6:[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]1.[/glow] Each team will be in charge of their own franchise minor league system.
[glow=red,2,300]2.[/glow] Each team will designate a "20 Man Taxi Squad". Basically, each team will select 20 guys in their franchise's minor league system as their keepers. (Basically, you are in charge of your minor league system. The "Taxi Squad" is a protected list of guys. I.E. if someone is traded in real life and that player is on your list, you would still have his rights, but if that player is not on your 20 man "taxi" list then you would lose his rights to whatever team he was traded to)
[glow=red,2,300]3. [/glow]You do not have to protect players that were drafted in the prior June MLB draft or were signed in the previous year (ala from Cuba, Dominican Republic, Mexico, etc.).
[glow=red,2,300]4a.[/glow] Any player not on the 20 Man Taxi Squad is subject to be picked by another team; (THIS RULE IS ALSO SUBJECT TO CHANGE - we'll see how it goes this year). Each team will be given one "Swipe" transaction per season. This is where team "A" sees a prospect in team "B" organization that is not protected by his 20 Taxi Squad. He may then ask for his rights. If the owner of team "B" wants to keep that player, he must put him on his Taxi Squad. If chooses not to protect him, then team "A" may have him, but he then must put him on his Taxi Squad. (note: there will be a deadline ala the trade deadline for putting a claim on another team's un-protected minor league players)
[glow=red,2,300]4b.[/glow] If After a player is released from the Taxi Squad to protect another player, that released player cannot be placed back onto the Taxi Squad for a minimum of 10 days. Once 10 days has expired, then the player may be put back onto the Squad - into an open spot or by releasing another player from it.
[glow=red,2,300]4c.[/glow] Once a player is put onto the Taxi Squad (i.e. to be protected from another team claiming him), he must stay on the Taxi Squad for a minimum of 15 days.
[glow=red,2,300]4d.[/glow] If a player is claimed by another team (not protected by original team), then the new owner must put that person on his "Taxi Squad". If at some point during the season, in which he was claimed, the player claimed - is dropped from the team's Taxi Squad, then the player will return to the original team (unless the original team does not want him, then he becomes a free agent and is open to anyone claiming him). But that team that released him may not put another claim on that player for that current year.
[glow=red,2,300]5.[/glow] If a player that is not on your 20 Man Taxi Squad - is traded, then you lose the rights to that player to the team obtaining him in the real-life trade. (this is to eliminate the headache of keeping track of every little trade that goes on; as I don't have time for it)
[glow=red,2,300]6.[/glow] We will have a 6 round minor league draft of players/prospects from the remaining 18 teams not chosen in this league. There will then be a 4 round draft for each following year, with the draft order being in reverse order of the team standing from the previous year (THIS IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AFTER THIS YEAR, BASED ON HOW IT GOES THIS YEAR).
[glow=red,2,300]7a. [/glow] If one of your prospects (either from your Taxi Squad or not on your list) is brought up to the majors, you may or may not make a spot for him on your Major League Roster. You have the choice to keep him on your Taxi Squad or to put him on your major league roster. If he is sent back down, you can take him off of your Major League Roster and put him on your Taxi Squad. If a prospect, on your minor league roster, was brought up and is kept on your minor league roster, he may stay there for the rest of the current year.
[glow=red,2,300]7b. [/glow] If a prospect was brought up the previous season and starts the new season no the major league roster and had less than, or equal to, 1.) 130 at-bats 2.) 50 innings pitched 3.) 30 appearances the previous season, then he does not have to be added to the following season's roster right away. But if the prospect does exceed any of those outlined, then he must be added to the major league roster within the first 8 days of the season.............
[glow=red,2,300]7c. [/glow]If the promoted prospect is placed on the major league roster, the only way to put him back onto the Taxi Squad, is if he is sent down by his major league team - which goes for all players.
[glow=red,2,300]7d. [/glow]So in essance we own the rights to all of our major league and minor league roster, unless their rights are waived - this does not include those minor leaguers that are not on the 20 man Taxi Squad - we own their rights, yes, unless they are traded, brought up and not put on a roster, or a "claim" is put on them by another team.
[glow=red,2,300]8.[/glow] Whoever is not drafted will be left to that team. If a prospect who is not drafted is brought up to the majors, then they go through the waiver process.
[glow=red,2,300]9. [/glow] If you trade for a prospect on someone else's major league squad that was drafted in the major league draft, then you also need to keep him on your major league roster.
Congrats to the HaggsTown Mets on the Season 1 champs.
