OFFICIAL LEAGUE RULES
Scoring: 7X7: Runs, HR, RBI, SB, BA, OPS, TB, Wins, Saves, Holds, ERA, WHIP, K/9, K/BB
Lineup (30): C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, CI, MI, LF, CF, RF, OF, UT, 5-SP, 5-RP, 2-RP, 6-BN + 5 DL
1) You own all players from your MLB franchise (all minor league players included) and during the season may add/drop these players at anytime and as often as you wish. However, if one of your players is traded or released while dropped from your roster (30 + DL in season & 30 man off-season) you lose rights to that player. [/b]
2) We can only add & drop players from our MLB franchise. If you drop a player that you drafted from another MLB franchise you lose rights to that player.
3) You do not have to protect any of your rookies** . If any of your rookies** are traded in season, you will have a 10 day window to drop a player(s) from your roster & keep a vacant roster spot for that player if not in yahoo database. If you choose not to then you lose rights to that player. All owners are responsible for keeping track of their own prospects.[/b] The 10 day window will be determined by the date recorded on the MLB.com transactions page.
4) In the off season if any of your rookies** or season final 30 man roster players are traded you have the right to choose to keep your traded players and incoming player(s) will be exposed to the draft provided they are in the database. If they are not drafted they will default to their new franchise. You also have the right to choose to drop your protected player(s) from your roster and keep incoming player(s) if not owned. (Example: Padres traded RHP Mat Latos to Cincinnati for RHP Edinson Volquez, RHP Brad Boxberger, INF Yonder Alonso and C Yasmani Grandal. Therefore, the Padres may drop Latos and keep Alonso & Grandal exposing Latos to the draft.) All off season minor league trades pertaining to teams in this league will be listed before each spring draft.
5) International Free Agents signed after the preseason draft will not be eligible for play until they are exposed to a draft. If they are not drafted they will then belong to the signing organization.
6) All rosters shall be trimmed to 30 on the last day of the season. Players will not be protected by the DL during the off season.
7) Any player in the Yahoo database that is not owned is eligible to be drafted. All others are not eligible to be drafted.
8) We will have an optional 3 round non-snake draft at the beginning of every season. Draft positions will be in inverse order of previous season final standings. Then an optional 3 round draft at the All Star break. Draft positions will be in inverse order of standings at break.
9) Only players listed in Yahoo database may be traded. During the season players must be on your active roster to be traded. There will be no trading during the draft and no trading of players for draft picks.
**Determining rookie status:
A player shall be considered a rookie unless, during a previous season or seasons, he has (a) exceeded 130 at-bats or 50 innings pitched in the Major Leagues.
