I'll post updates soon....as far as when keepers are due and the draft will start.
We are now entering our 5th season!
Season 1 Champs: Haggs' Mets Season 2 Champs: Winker's Tribe Season 3 Champs: Todd's Cardinals Season 4 Champs: Jim's Red Sox (we've had 4 seasons and 4 different league champs - awesome)
2010 Major League Draft Order (snake style): 1. White Sox 2. Mets 3. Phillies 4. Yankees 5. Blue Jays 6. Indians 7. A's 8. Rays 9. Marlins 10. Cardinals 11. Angels 12. Red Sox
The keeper deadline will be this Friday, March 5th at 10pm EST and the draft will start Tuesday, March 9th at 7am.
You can keep 20 keepers.
The draft window will be 6 hours.....(we said we would change the times for this year's draft at the end of last year....from 8 hours to 7 hours, but I like 6 hours better as a window of timea).
The Draft will start at 7am and run through 12pm EST, each day until it's done.

While we are waiting for Mully and GPF to get their keepers in, I have no problem with additional trades occurring. I received an email from GPF and he will post his keepers at some point today.
I know it is sub-optimal, but once we get these keepers in we'll probably have to start the draft within 2 or 3 days of them being posted. This will assure us of completing the draft before the season starts.
We do need Mully to confirm the trade above, however.

I will consider dealing Torii Hunter. Give it your best shot, if you're interested.

I'm in favor of a weekly limit of add/drops. Off the top of my head I would say maybe 5/wk. Enough to cover the 3 DL spots and a couple to play with. Of course used at each owners discretion. And we can affectionately name it the "ZEMTECH Rule."

LOL, I love it.
Zem is the man, the TRANSACTION MAN!
I'm fine with 5 per week. That's still a big number. What about playoff time? Does this rule change for playoffs or is it the law of the land all year?
Finally, does a transaction date mean the day the transaction was requested on the system or the date it was actually put into effect? For example, I add Brandon Medders on a Sunday night and drop Brandon Webb. Medders wouldn't be on my roster for game purposes until Monday in Yahoo. So is this a Sunday transaction or a Monday transaction? Since the new week begins on Monday, this could be an important clarification.

I would think it would be the actual date yahoo placed the player on your roster. In your example it would be Monday. I don't know why it would change for playoffs. But speaking of playoffs, a problem I have had (annually with crawford) are injuries. These players usually don't get placed on the DL with the expanded rosters. Although I don't see what can be done about that. LOL, I love it. Zem is the man, the TRANSACTION MAN! I'm fine with 5 per week. That's still a big number. What about playoff time?
