We will be able to pick players up as free agents and utilization of the waiver wire.
Once I get the rosters loaded and everyone confirms their rosters are correct and things are set, we can then move on to bigger and better things!

Regarding free agents that have not signed with another club at the time we each picked our teams.
For instance, Roger Clemens is a FA. He might sign with the Astros, Yankees or whomever. Each team's roster is set once they chose that team. If I chose the Indians and the next day after, they traded Grady Sizemore, he would still be on my team because I chose them the day before the trade.
Any player that is a FA is available to be drafted. If he drafted by a team (no matter if he signs with someone else after he is drafted in this draft), then he will belong to that team. -----Case in point. Roger CLemens is a FA. He is drafted by the Red Sox (TFAZ). But doesn't sign with a team. For TFAZ to keep his rights, he must keep him on his roster. If he lets him go, he becomes a FA. Then if Roger Clemens does sign with a team in real life and it's a team in our league, that team would have his rights.
Say a FA goes into the draft and goes undrafted. Then that FA signs with a team before the season or during the season. If he was never claimed or drafted by an organization, then the team the FA signed with would have the right to put him on his team or let him become a FA for other teams in the league to sign/claim. -----Case in point. Roger Clemens is a FA. He isn't drafted by any of us in this draft. Then on May 1st he signs with the Yankees in real life. WHoever has the Yankees in our league - they would own his rights.

For the minor league draft, we will have a reverse draft order of minor league players.

I don't want to hold up the draft much longer.
Osborne, I understand your thought process and what you're saying. I have been in other leagues that use the snake, but in the handful of franchise league I've been a part of, usually the 1st draft is handled this way. I'm sorry if you disagree. If you would rather not partake then I understand, but that is what the rules were coming in.

Discussion: We've had a few questions regarding the draft process: The drafting process is done so that someone who takes the Billionare rich Yankees vs. a slightly lower team has a bit of an advantage. This 'straight' style of draft vs. a 'snake' draft. The 'straight' draft this year would allow those teams to cover some ground on those with the other teams.
Regarding whether or not to do a snake draft or whatever. To change now, would not be fair to some teams including myself, tribefan31, and others who waited purposefully to gain a higher pick, when we could have picked a team sooner. But I will leave this open for discussion, as to what the majority of you think. This IS not a voting process I am opening. But a discussion of thoughts. I will make the final decision.

Guys, the minor league rosters will need to be set by Friday July 7th. I have been on vacation for a while and just got back.
You'll need to have your minor league Taxi Squad (roster) set by that date. Then once that is done, we can go from there.
