I'm assuming that, up until draft day, we can trade guys that we don't intend to keep?

I just IM'd Ward and he's happy to take the White Sox. He apologized saying he was traveling for business today and just got into the hotel in NYC. Apparently he's trying to urgently wrap up a presentation and is really busy burning the midnight oil. He promised he'd sign up on this site by Monday AM. So count him in, all.
I think that fills up the ownership roster, correct?
FYI....

PS. I figured out how to find the end of year rosters by clicking on my fantasy profile via Yahoo. So I'll email Ward a copy of the White Sox roster and explain that he has to get to 20 keepers right away.

Steve....if you want to keep the A's team then by all means you are welcomed to it.
If Steve wants to give the A's back to Ray, that's fine.
But, Ray, I'm looking for some activity this year. You've been a hard person to get a hold of - whether it's the minor league draft, baseball draft, etc. You have been inactive the past 2 seasons and for other leagues as well, not just this one.
If you can't be active, then it's fine to let someone take over who can be a bit more active.
Salsero (Blue Jays) and GeorgiaPhillieFan (Phillies) were decently active the 1st season and not so much last season. They need to be more active than last season to stay in touch with the league.
I understand computer problems, as I've had them and so have others in this league. The problem is, it's a coninuous thing for over 2 years. I also know that family and other things take precedence. But being somewhat active is only fair to the other guys in the league.

And yes, we can trade players on our keeper list as well as players that may or may not be on our keeper list.
So, if Ward is taking over the Sox, he does need to post soon. And yes, the rosters will then be filled. It doesn't look like we'll be able to get this draft thing rolling by Wednesday or Thursday, so we may have to start the draft January 2 - which will the be ten rounds. Also, Keepers need to be finalized by next Thursday, Dec. 27th.

Hi All GM's,
I'm taking the White Sox and look forward to this new league. I've read the rules and believe I'm ready to go. I'll post my preliminary keeper 20 but would like to talk trades prior to finalizing. Appreciate the chance to play in this league.
White Sox will be ready and active!
Email trade offers to me at : wardrussellma@yahoo.com.
Happy drafting and happy holidays,
Ward - White Sox

FYI to Steve (and Ward too)...
Luke Hochevar CANNOT be put on your minor league roster, because he was a minor leaguer drafted in our Major League draft. When that occurs, the drafting owner is forced to keep that player on their 30-man major league roster or else forfeit that players' rights.
In the first two seasons, we only had a handful of players that fell subject to this rule. Justin Upton, Andrew Miller, Hochevar, and a couple more that I'm forgetting.

I'm not the commish, Haggs is... I'm just his hired rules enforcer! LOL
Brian's on the East Coast and I'm on the West Coast, so we try to answer peoples' questions as close to 'round the clock as possible.

Cards are looking for a solid, reliable closer. Anybody willing to deal? Also looking for top top minor league keeper talent. I officially have the worst minor league system in the game.
