Anyone need some major leaguers to fill out your roster? I'll offer your choice of 2 off this list in exchange for a #1 minor league pick, and your choice of 2 more for a #2 minor league pick. PM me.

Why would someone do that , They can just pick them up for free once you cut them.

Perhaps someone wants Byrd and Shoppach more than they want what's going to be left of the prospects, now that teams seem to be picking them up. ie. S Drew, J Upton, j Guzman, C Quentin,.........all picked already. It may turn out that the top prospects are gone by the minor league draft. Who knows?

P - Tim Wakefield B - Jeff Suppan, SP B - Sydney Ponson, SP B - Jason Marquis, SP B - Ricardo Rincon, RP B - Hector Luna, 2B/SS B - Brad Thompson, RP B - Braden Looper, RP B - Junior Spivey, 2B
Cards have high quality pitching available. Will trade 2 of these players for a 1st round rookie pick. Suppan and Marquis are both 15 game winners. Thompson and Looper will be top setup men. Spivey is the Cards starting 2nd baseman.

Per tribefan31, he selects - Ryan Freel, many positions, Reds

I can't believe Freel lasted this long... He's ranked fairly high by most Fantasy Baseball ranking lists, despite his lack of RBI production.

He gets SBs, which is big. He has a decent average. He does play a ton of positions which is key. He doesn't have a big OBP. A good pickup this late, though.

Totally agree... I've had Freel on my radar for several rounds, but decided at the last minute to go elsewhere each time. Sooner or later, I probably would've said "heck with it".
Good pick for your bro.
