Nice grab, Ray. I was contemplating Doumit over Piazza as my #2 catcher.

Well, guys it was fun.....I'm glad we got it done in time and had some fun doing it.
Stay tuned for details on finalizing your roster - there will be a deadline as to when you have to have your 30 man roster set. Any guys on the original 25 man roster that you are not keeping will be free agents.
You guys may make some trades as to fill up rosters until then.

We are looking to start the Minor League draft AFTER the 25-man Opening Day rosters have been set for all MLB teams.
Other notes:
1.) Basically, any "prospect" who makes it to a team's real-life 25-man roster MUST be on your 30-man Major League roster. The only exception to this rule is the annual "September call-ups" that occur with minor leaguers.
2.) Any "prospects" from un-owned Major League teams that are on a real-life 25-man roster are INELIGIBLE for the Minor League fantasy draft. These players will be Free Agents in the Yahoo League website. An example of this type of player is Pirates' Starting Pitcher Paul Maholm, who will likely be in the Pirates' 2006 rotation.
3.) We will be providing a list of prospects, by team, for you to utilize during the Minor League draft. I will try to keep the list up-to-date so that it shows who has been selected already. During the draft, feel free to select players not on our provided lists based on your own research.
4.) Following the Minor League draft, you will need to name your 20-man "protected list" of Minor Leaguers. *Note: Any 2005 draftees are exempt from having to be protected until Spring 2007. 2006 draftees (in the June draft) are also exempt and will be exempt until Spring 2008, etc.
5.) Any unprotected players from owned franchises may be obtained by another team, with approval. The franchise owner has the first option to protect the desired player (thereby "un-protecting" another prospect). I believe Haggstown has decided that you may only acquire another owned franchise's prospect ONCE during the 2006 season, so use this option wisely.
6.) During the 2006 season, you may acquire up to 5 additional prospects from the prospect free agent pool of un-owned franchises. These prospects MUST be placed on your 20-man Minor League protected list and you must waive someone from your protected list to make room for these new players.
7.) After the Minor League draft, the waiver priority will be in the inverse order of the 1st Round of the draft. Therefore, the White Sox (tribefan31) will have Waiver Priority 1 and the Cardinals (osbornetorun1) will have Waiver Priority 12. If teams acquire a "waived" prospect, they fall to the back of the waiver priority list.
8.) Because Yahoo cannot track our Minor League rosters and transactions, we will continue to use this website as the sole source & tracking mechanism for Minor League rosters and transactions.
Make sense to all?
