[glow=red,2,300]Minor League Draft will start Tuesday, July 29th at 8am[/glow]
Pre-Draft Minor League Keepers:
1.) You need to come up with a 16-man list of Minor Leaguers. Due date for updated 16 man list TBA each year.
2.) You definitely need to protect guys that you own from other franchises, so that we can keep track of it. However, if you don’t care if you lose a guy, then it is OK to not protect.
3.) I know it will take some research, but make sure that you did not trade a prospect you're trying to keep during our 2006 Major or Minor League drafts.
Minor League Draft:
1.) Any "prospects" from un-owned Major League teams that were on their team's real-life 25-man roster are INELIGIBLE for the Minor League fantasy draft. These players will be Free Agents in the Yahoo League website.
2.) We will try to provide a list of prospects, by team, for you to utilize during the Minor League draft. We will try to keep the list up-to-date so that it shows who has been selected already. During the draft, feel free to select players not on our provided lists based on your own research.
After Major & Minor League Draft:
1.) After our Minor League draft, we will immediately finalize a 20-man Minor League protected list.
2.) To help other owners out, we also encourage you to list any protection-exempt Franchise Top Prospects below your 20-man protected list. *Please see my Minor League roster for an example of this. Also, if you do not list all of your minor league drafted prospects within your 20 man protected list - they must be viewable and listed somewhere within your post for others owners to locate.
3.) Those MLB players drafted in 'real life' of the June Amateur Draft during the current year of the minor league draft, are protected and are not required to be added to the 20 man protected list for the rest of the current season and the rest of the entire following season.
4.) Any "prospect" called up AFTER Opening Day can be added to your 30-man roster, but does not have to be added to the 30-man roster. Guys that get bounced up and down from the Majors & Minors during the season can be bounced between your 30-man Major League roster and your 20-man Minor League roster (depending on Rule 7b).
5.) After the Minor League draft, the minor league waiver priority will be in the inverse order of the 1st Round of the draft. Therefore, the 1st place team will have Waiver Priority 1 and the 12th place team will have Waiver Priority 12. If teams acquire a "waived" prospect, they fall to the back of the waiver priority list.
6.) Because Yahoo cannot track our Minor League rosters and transactions, we MUST continue to use this website as the sole source & tracking mechanism for Minor League rosters and transactions.
