Just out of curiosity, how is it that I (Cardinals team) was stuck with the last draft pick in every round when we all did the first league draft in 2006, yet this year - after suffering from that and finishing near the bottom - it's a snake draft format?!?
Strange and quite a double standard.

Wait, Chris Duncan is in my minor league system. How can he be drafted by Winker?

Aside from that problem, it seems that Tim Lincecum is a guy who should be part of the Minor League draft pool.
Haggstown, we need some decisions here...

Why did we allow minor league players to be selected in the first draft and not this one? :)He may even start in the majors, if not I will leave a roster spot open. :oAs for the draft style, we had a vote on either snake or traditional 1,2,3... and the majority ruled for snake.

I can definitely see your point about the Minor Leaguers, Canes... That's why Canes is the Commish! So he can make all these hard decisions. Sooner or later, we'll all have this thing figured out and the league will be smooth sailing.
So, it sounds like Canes is proposing that the Major League draft pool include: 1.) Players left unprotected, who were on our end-of-season rosters 2.) Other Major Leaguers that were unowned at the end of 2006 3.) All unowned Minor League players, including 2006 draftees (e.g., Tim Lincecum)
Dang, this is complicated... Haggstown, ball is in your court before this proceeds any further. Even if Canes' pick stands, Winker will need to re-pick.

Canes can pick Linecum, just as I picked Alex Gordon last year - but he has to leave a bench spot open for him. Canes however will never be allowed to have him on his minor league roster, because he chose him in the major league portion of the draft.
Since Duncan is of the Cards, then Wink needs to re-pick. That sounds gross.

I searched both the Major league keepers thread, and the 06 minor league keeper thread. Duncan is not in either.

Oops, I guess I should have said Haggstown is the commish in that first line! Not trying to beat you down, just trying to help us all figure out who the heck is draftable.
I'll have my pick within the next couple hours. Trying to figure some things out.
