Shouldn't all owners have o list their minor league keepers before we go any further?
It may not effect the draft, but it will effect ML rosters if we have to bring up minor leaguers to our major league rosters if those players make their respective ML clubs.
We need to know who these players are.
Every owner has had plenty of time to list their minor league keepers. I'd like to suggest that if an owner hasn't listed his minor league keepers when his turn comes up, that he be bypassed until he does list them.

Well, since it is Haggstown's pick, we can certainly halt the draft if he chooses so...
The biggest problem is that some owners did not originally post their 20-man minor league rosters during 2006. However, if you look at the 2006 Minor League Rosters thread, there is only 1 owner now who didn't list his 20-man minor league list.
OsbourneToRun1
7 owners have gone the extra mile and entered their minor league rosters into the "Minor League Keeper List" thread.
I will work on getting Osbourne to post his 20-man list, but Haggstown is simply asking that we NOT DRAFT minor league players from the 12-owned franchises (including any prospects from other teams that they acquired via trade or via draft in 2006). You can compare the two threads I mentioned above to determine who was taken or traded around last year.
A guy like Tim Lincecum is available to draft because he was a 2006 draftee. Our drafts last year occurred well before the 2006 draft.

My minor league protected list is posted.
As for the league, well, so many unspoken/unwritten or at best unclear rules, guys, make this very difficult to play/compete. And taking a vote about the draft format this year is weak when no such vote was done last year. If you do it one way, you need to be consistent. I'm screwed, quite frankly.
Stuck with last round pick every round in last year's draft, a different draft model now making it very hard to improve, etc. etc. etc. makes the league quite unbalanced. I love the concept of the league but the lack of clear and consistent rules/process give me pause as to the future. I've been in a lot of great dynasty type keeper leagues so I love the game play, when well executed/managed.
I'll stick with it but there needs to be some deep thinking about how to reduce the confusion, make the player pool more readily defined and clear to everyone, identify what players can and cannot be drafted, etc. My two cents, ignore it or not......

Everyone's thoughts are well taken. Hopefully the rules will be much clearer from here on out. I did get PM's last year asking to go with a straight style draft - but the thought was to go for a snake style draft from here on out. Using the waiver wire and being active during the season makes a big difference on a team as well.............
For duscussion and thoughts, please post them in the discussion forum if you could. It would be well appreciated.

Not a discussion topic but a problem I'd like to post about a player. For some reason the Angels have Adam Wainwright listed on their roster as a major league keeper. He is on my minor league protected list.
I don't recall every bringing up Wainwright and I certainly would not have released him. So he should not be on another team's list. I searched the draft log from last year and did not make a trade with that player.
FYI....

I'll suck it up here and take a minor leaguer... The Red Sox select:
Andrew Miller, SP, Detroit Tigers[\b]
I think he'll get fast-tracked to the majors. I understand I'll have to keep a roster spot for him.
