We both took risks on that one, but Haggs definitely looks good on the front end of the deal. I needed to get younger. Hosmer should be really good, but I may end up looking like a donkey if Hosmer doesn't produce. Oh well, I believe in taking risks.

And yes, I hope Hosmer homers A LOT! I did cry a little bit trading away Rollins and Howard. Lots of good memories with them. In the last 2 years I've traded the core of the Phillies: Utley, Rollins, and Howard.

Yes deal is big on front end....Hosmer is 10 yrs younger than Howard. Actually, I didn't confirm trade with Paul for 3 days. Call me crazy but just my feeling. |

And it's a nippy 49 degrees overnight here in Phoenix. Even better, I can almost smell Spring Training its getting so close. :-)
I'm back working on the northwest side of town, so my office is now inside 15 minutes from the Spring Training homes of:
- Royals
- Rangers
- White Sox
- Dodgers
- Padres
- Mariners

Work is about 30 minutes from the Tribe & Reds park. My house is about an hour from there. Although, I will say that their park is the WORST one in the Cactus League. There is absolutely nothing architecturally special about it and there is no bar/entertainment district surrounding it (yet). As such, I usually catch them at one of the nicer parks.
