When the Red Sox signed SP prospect Stolmy Pimentel, I gained rights to the entire Pimentel family!
J/K GPF... He's all yours. Will update the minors draft thread.

The minor league draft. The one we just finished was in the reverse order of the standings at the end of '09. I finished last in '10. Did the rule change?

Winker is correct. Both the majors and the minors draft is in the reverse order of the previous year's finish. This past year, "Ward" (errr, I mean Osborne #3) had traded me the 1st overall selection.

So Winker (Indians) gets the #1 pick in the upcoming major league draft as well as the #1 pick in the minor league draft that will be held sometime around the all-star break?
Not argueing...just trying to get this straight.

Just to be sure, I checked back 3 seasons, and the last place team did get the first pick in both major & minor drafts. (BTW, I also checked before I made the original post about the pick being available.) I too am not arguing, just stating the results of what I found goig back 3 drafts.
