OK, I think I'm with you. But, if a "rookie" passes 130 ABs during the season and is then sent down, would he not be able to be put back on reserve list? Just checking. No he could not go back onto the reserve list/minor league team if he passes the 130 AB limits. Thinking about it, maybe it would be better to allow them to be placed back on the reserve list. It could be a disadvantage to saddle a contending team with a dead roster spot. I'll give this some more thought...I really want to keep it simple.

Ken, we can start moving the discussion to the discussion thread if you want; but I would suggest if you plan on doing the rookie draft after the major league draft, then don't allow the extra 2 reserve spots to be used as part of the keepers for this year. Meaning, if someone wants to keep rookies from last year's roster then they have to include them on their 15 man keeper list. That is exactly what I'm trying to say for this coming (2013) year. 2014 keepers will be 15 + up to two eligible milb players( may be kept in lieu of minor league 2 Rd. draft.). I have youngsters on my end of year roster from last year. Are these players eligible to be on my Rookie Reserve? Yes...but they would have to be included in your 15 keepers. After the draft you would then transfer them to the minor league list. However, those empty spots must be filled after yahoo opens via waiver/FA or trade. Next season eligible minor league players can be carried over on the rookie/reserve list separate from the 15 yahoo keepers.

I wanted to make it a bit unique so it was different then just being Geeks Keeper League Jr. or lite...I can't see a big problem removing "Doubles" I'm not sure where anyone would build a team based on doubles. I would like to retain the K/BB and wouldn't mind doing an 8x8...Triples maybe but not Doubles. There are many, many, many categories to choose from. Feel free to run with this if you get the time.
The trading of rookies is okay...just remember for this year only[/b] the rookies must be included in your 15 keepers. I wouldn't be opposed to implementing the use of the 2 reserve spots separate from the 15 Yahoo keepers for this off season if everyone[/u] was in agreement.
As for a rookie draft...Yes there will be a separate rookie/minor league/reserve draft immediately following the regular 15 round major league draft. It will be two rounds in the same order as the 15 round draft.
I tried to keep this simple but may be making it a little confusing with my wording so I'll say it this way.
Rookies=Minor League players=Reserve list players. These are all interchangeable...hope this clarifies it.

Reserve List
1. Players may only be added to the reserve list if they have rookie eligibility(< 130 AB/50 IP/40 appearances).
2. Reserve players may be obtained by either drafts or thru Yahoo waivers/FA rules. The process to add via Yahoo waivers/FA is to first claim the player then transfer by trade proposal/request. Roster spots vacated by transferring reserve eligible players may be filled by waiver/FA thru Yahoo. 3. Reserve players may remain on the reserve list the entire year they are obtained or may be added to the Yahoo roster. However, if they are added to the Yahoo roster they may only be placed back on the reserve list only if they are sent down by their MLB team and have < 130 AB/50 IP or 40 appearances. Promote reserve players at your own risk
4. Reserve players that have met or exceeded rookie limits (130 AB/50 IP/40 appearances) must be included in the following years 15 major league keepers list or become FA. Player(s) with rookie eligibility may be kept on the following years reserve list in lieu of reserve draft pick(s)
