What about Sidney Rice? Or are all fa remain on last years roster? Should be the same for any fa. Yeah, Foster was just an example, like I said there are dozens of FA.

I will need a ruling on Rice/FA's before I can post my keepers.

I'll have to think about that - because Arian Foster is an exclusive rights free agent...as are others. Really Foster is not a free agent as he is not allowed to sign with another team - only the Texans. With this whole CBA stuff going on, who knows who will be an unrestricted FA or who won't be. I'll think about this one. Only the Texans or they have the first 72 hr of negotiations before he is free to talk to other teams? I don't really know, but just what I've read I thought some were no longer under contract. Like you say which are unrestricted or not who knows. Is there really a rush to get this done before the FA frenzy or are we better to wait?

Is there really a rush to get this done before the FA frenzy or are we better to wait? I don't think it's a good idea to wait. If we did wait, we would have to wait til free agency and trading was pretty much finalized....but then that would take us right up to when the season starts....at that point we wouldn't have enough time to possibly get the draft done. Arian Foster is an exclusive rights free agent not a first refusal restricted free agent. There's a difference. Foster can't negotiate with other teams - he has only the Texans offer to consider or the Texans can just not tender him an offer. First refusal/restricted free agents have to be tendered a certain amount / round status money and then that team would be able to match or get compensation for letting them sign elsewhere. Obviously there are other free agents, but I think by me saying earlier that we'll go with the rosters at the end of the season/at the draft then that should take care of things. I don't think some people would have chosen the Eagles or Chargers or another team if they didn't think Kolb or Jackson would have been part of that team.

So your saying Rice is still on my roster, correct.

Ok so I am an idiot. I've been super busy this week and failed to read all of the posts. "Also, a few had questions on who is eligible to keep from each team...with restricted and unrestricted free agents. I just said let's use the rosters off of the end of last season including the NFL draft rookies." looks like I answered my own question Haggs, sorry for wasting your time. I would also go with 8 now that I have thought about it. Keepers to be posted soon. Good luck guys.

There were already some signings after last season ended. Hence, a big reason I took the Panthers at No. 9 (only the Browns at 6 was a worse pick). Jeremy Shockey signed with the Panthers in March.

I would rather have less starting flex spots to increase the bench than have a bigger roster. The free agent pool will be pathetic enough without adding more roster spots.

Brian, sorry to be such a pain. I didn't see where you had said we would go with the season ending rosters. I'm good with that. Just two more questions, Can you be specific on the flex positions 2-WR/RB, 1 RB/TE, 1 WR/TE ? And will kick & punt return yardage and TD count for starting WR?

Here are the roster and stat categories.....I removed one of the flex positions (the W/T flex position) and kept the 6 bench spots. This will help with starting positions come the bye week.
We will then have a 7 round draft once the 10 keepers are finalized. Please edit your keepers and rosters if you need to to remove the W/T flex spot if you had already included it.
Roster Positions: QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/R, W/R, W/R/T, K, DEF, DEF, IR, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN
Offense: Passing Yards = 25 yards per point; 3 points at 350 yards Passing Touchdowns = 4 Interceptions = -2 Rushing Yards = 8 yards per point; 3 points at 150 yards Rushing Touchdowns = 6 Reception Yards = 7.5 yards per point; 3 points at 135 yards Reception Touchdowns = 6 Return Touchdowns = 6 2-Point Conversions = 2 Fumbles Lost = -2 Offensive Fumble Return TD = 6 Kicking: Field Goals 0-19 Yards = 3 Field Goals 20-29 Yards = 3 Field Goals 30-39 Yards = 4 Field Goals 40-49 Yards = 5 Field Goals 50+ Yards = 6 Point After Attempt Made = 1 Defense / Special Teams: Sack = 1 Interception = 3 Fumble Recovery = 3 Touchdown = 6 Safety = 2 Block Kick = 4 Return Yards = 12 yards per point Kickoff and Punt Return Touchdowns = 6 Points Allowed 0 points = 20 Points Allowed 1-6 points = 16 Points Allowed 7-13 points = 12 Points Allowed 14-20 points = 8 Points Allowed 21-27 points = 4 Points Allowed 28-34 points = 0 Points Allowed 35+ points = -4 4th Down Stops = 4 Tackles for Loss = 1 Three and Outs Forced = 3

No penalty for missed FG & PAT ?
Is there a maximum limit allowed on any position?

Hey buddy, we have seen the last of Hillis left, Hillis right and a 4 yard completion on 3rd and 6. Watch and see.

Once keepers are all posted by everyone, then we'll get the keepers loaded into yahoo and begin the player draft.
