That puts us at 5 for the snake style draft and 2 for the regular style draft. 1 for 6 hour window; 7 for 8 hour window. - We'll be doing the 8 hour limit as we have a majority. 1 for 6am start; 3 for 7 am start; 4 unstated (no change).
These are the only two teams left to register at yahoo. White Sox -- BrownieInHB D-Rays - WVTF

Maybe here is a better place for this. This doesn't make much sense to me, seems it will weaken the major league draft pool. I'm going to have to drop at least 4 of my 18 keepers after the draft, as will Winker and I'm sure others as well. Those players will then be available by waivers or FA. To me it seems for the depth of the draft pool we need to find a way to make these players available. Does anyone else see a problem here, maybe I'm just looking at wrong ? Another vote for 6:00 am start.

I haven't yet had a chance to address it WV, but I'll craft a response over the weekend. I may have misrepresented the intent of the rule, so give me a chance to respond.

I know I am the last one to join the league, but Yahoo will not let me. Says I'm not a member and I cannot view the page.
I'd love to draft tomorrow, but can't join the league

Are you signed into yahoo...............? We're going to hold the draft on here anyway, so you have some time to get into the yahoo site.
As far as WVTF's concern over the opening day roster stuff................I understand what you're saying, but it's hard to tell what rookies will open on opening day rosters and some who won't (some are a given). You shouldn't have to drop four of your keepers, but maybe four of the 12 round draft we'll be starting tomorrow.

In my own team's case, I think I'll probably have 5 guys make the Majors from my Minor League roster. They are: - RP Craig Hansen - RP Manny Delcarmen - C Miguel Montero - C Chris Iannetta - 3B Kevin Kouzmanoff Will these 5 guys impact the 18 Major Leaguers that I kept before our Major League draft? Not likely. Will these 5 guys impact the 12 possible draft picks that I have in the Major League draft? Definitely. Can I accomplish things through trade that will help alleviate my numbers crunch and also help the depth of another team? Absolutely! This league is unique in that we are also carrying Minor League rosters & keepers. If you are savvy enough with your player research, you'll always have some real difficult decisions to make.

Question for the group...
Last year, if you missed your turn, your pick was bumped to the end of the draft. This year, I'd vote that we simply let that pick keep sliding... If an owner's time clock has expired for their pick, the next owner in line can pick at any time. Subsequent owners' picks can also quickly pick ahead of the skipped owner until that owner finally shows up to make the pick.
We did it this way in FantasyGeek's Keeper League this year and it went well... Minimal controversy as well...
Haggstown, and others, would you be OK with this change?

Sorry if this was already answered, but if a guy was called up last year & finished the year on his team's ML roster, does he still qualify to be placed back on a minor league roster?

That's a good question as a lot of rookies were called up late and the rosters are expanded at the end of the year.
The thing is, we can do this draft and go with our keepers and then when opening day comes, we can see who is on the opening day rosters and who is down on the farm. Then if they open up on rosters, then we need to place them on the approprite rosters.

WVTF has not posted his Minor League Keepers, but he is property of the Devil Rays. Not trying to be a problem here, I have listed my 20 keepers. Problem might be due to two minor league keeper threads. Where would you like me to place them? Also, although I'm guilty might I suggest we keep this thread "clean" for drafted players and use the discussion thread. You can post the minor league keepers in this season's minor league keeper Season 2 thread that has recently been started. We should keep all the draft discussion and questions to this thread if possible.

Osborne - it's kind of hard to know what you're minor league keeper's are when they aren't listed anywhere. If you have listed them, I haven't seen them. They aren't in the minor league roster thread from last year. Everyone was supposed to have that done last year.
You'll need to post your minor league roster keeper list for the current season ASAP.
We aren't drafting players from each other's minor leagues, even if they are unprotected. I believe Winker thought he was left unprotected from your major league roster, but if you never had him on your major league roster last year - brought up from your minor league - then he would still be in your minor league system.
Problem is, you don't have a minor league system/keeper listed.
