For Schilling, I am looking for:
1.) Your team's next draft pick, plus a later round draft pick.
OR
2.) Your team's next draft pick, plus a decent prospect or minor league draft pick
OR
3.) A solid pitcher from your team, plus a mid round draft pick.
OR
4.) A solid pitcher from your team, plus a prospect and/or draft pick (depending on the prospect)
Will entertain any viable offers... Francona has been very encouraged by Schilling in Spring Training thus far.

This may have been answered before but here goes. Once we lock in our 30 man roster, 1) will pick ups be alowed? If so what are the rules to them. Does someone have to go on the dl be be able to pick someone up or can we get ride of players on our 30 man roster and exchange them for better free agents. Or are we allowed to call up any free agent that is on our team but has been waived. Thanks and I'm sure there ismore to come.

I believe it will basically operate like any other Yahoo league would... You may pick up any free agents in the Yahoo database that are NOT in someone else's Minor League protected list. Anyone from your franchise's real-life team that you decide to purge from your big league roster (e.g., Alex Cora from the Red Sox) will be fair game as a free agent.
Keep in mind... There are some "prospects" that are in the Yahoo database, but will still be the property of another franchise. For sake of argument, let's say that Red Sox prospect Jon Lester does not make the Red Sox real life 25-man roster. As such, he starts out in AAA Pawtucket. I have protected him on my 20-man Minor League keeper list, but he will still show up in the Yahoo database as a Free Agent. These are the only players that will be basically off limits.

So we will be able to put in claims for all the free agents out their? I'm not talking about minor leaguers here. I think after the draft that the rosters should be locked so we cannot add any more players from other teams that are not owned. If so we should just continue the draft as is. I know after the draft my team will still have some holes and i should have to play thru that.

I completely disagree with that... I'm totally convinced that we should be able to add anyone at any time from any of the teams that are not owned (including Minor Leaguers, on a rolling basis). It would be no fun to have locked down 30-man rosters.
I believe that this was Haggstown's intent, but I'm sure he'll chime in soon on this topic.
Look at the pace this draft has gone. We will all have some holes in our roster at the end of this 12 round draft. If we made the draft longer to fill holes, I'm fairly certain that we'd be done sometime around the All-Star break.

I'm alright either way, just wanted a clarification on the topic, that's all. I'm one owner who loves to use the waiver wire, I just thought it was taking some away from running a certain team.

It appears that the GMs for the Phillies and the Athletics have yet to sign up for the league in Yahoo... Please sign up at your earliest convenience.

We will be able to pick players up as free agents and utilization of the waiver wire.
Once I get the rosters loaded and everyone confirms their rosters are correct and things are set, we can then move on to bigger and better things!

If the draft ever gets over with... LOL.
I'm sure that Todd is burning up the email system negotiating trades as we speak.

Simply cannot focus on this draft today, with NFL Free Agency underway.
I just hope that nobody drafts Desi Relaford before I pick next... I'm so distracted, that he seems like the best player available!

I have Alex Gordon and Joel Guzman. I like them both, but will entertain offers for either one of them.
